The classic Chattanooga formula: dinner on the river, a show or a walk, and
dessert somewhere historic.
- Dinner in the Southside or Warehouse Row (see Food & Drink).
- A walk along the riverfront - the riverwalk from the aquarium to Coolidge
Park is the city's default post-dinner stroll.
- Dessert/coffee at a Bluff View Art District patio (the
Bluff View Bakery/coffeehouse is the long-running pick), or gelato on Frazier Ave.
- Tivoli Theatre - the beautiful old downtown theater; concerts and
musicals.
- Walker Theatre - the cozier counterpart next door.
- UTC shows / small venues - cheaper tickets, still a great night.
- Choo Choo / Warehouse Row - drinks in the historic railroad district.
- Sunset at Raccoon Mountain - pack a blanket; it's a real Chattanooga move.
- Incline Railway up Lookout at dusk - the light-show version of the view.
- Brewery crawl on the Southside (family- and dog-friendly if you bring
the whole crew instead).
- Art crawls / gallery openings in the arts district - free, and free wine.
- Bluff View patio (Rembrandt's) - the unhurried patio view beats the
Warehouse Row crush on weekends.
- Frazier Ave (Northshore) - coffee, gelato, and a riverwalk stroll;
a low-key alternative to downtown's noise.
