This is a community wiki for the greater Chattanooga, Tennessee area - a
shared reference covering neighborhoods, food, things to do, getting around,
and the practical questions of living here.
It's run as a community service: there are no ads and no sponsorships,
and the site is self-hosted and maintained by volunteers.
The content on this wiki is fully open under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license
(Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International). That means
anyone can share and adapt the content for any purpose - even commercial
use - as long as they attribute the source and license their own version
under the same terms.
Contributions are licensed the same way. When you add or edit a page, your
contribution is released under CC BY-SA 4.0. By clicking save, you agree to
that. If you ever want your words removed, ask a maintainer - but once content
is out under an open license, it can't be un-released.
The wiki runs on Wiki.js, which is free and
open-source software licensed under the AGPL (GNU Affero General Public
License). We run a lightly modified version with a few local patches (branding,
an auth tweak, custom pages); the modified source is published at
github.com/wabolabs/chawiki to comply
with the license.
Keep it factual and neutral. Prefer describing options over declaring
winners; it's fine to recommend a favorite as long as others can add theirs.

the wiki, and you can always revert.
This wiki intentionally starts by addressing the questions that keep showing up
in local discussion. If you see the same question asked for the third time
anywhere - that's the signal to write (or improve) the page that answers it.
